Sea of Gray!

YSL’s Calla Lily Jewelry

I’ve found my favorite fall accessory. I first spotted it here: Yves Saint Laurent’s Calla Lily jewelry. It’s absolutely organic, wrapping around models wrists and necks as if they were play-acting Poison Ivy. We’re drowning in a sea of geometric prints these days, as machine-made perfect lines are all over the place. While this trend has produced some really creative work, I’m still craving curves and natural lines and these are just the satiating ticket.

Calla Lilies are so intriguing to me; popular in both weddings and funerals, they will always carry the weight of nondiscriminatory heightened emotions. The shape of the flower is very suggestive, but when cast in bronze, silver, and gold, those suggestions are strengthened into something powerful. These are an incredibly fitting accessory for the modern woman.
